Yoga
Influenced by Ace’s birth into the Buddhism culture and the 8 limbs philosophy of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Nothing is permanent, the truth is covered with 5 layers of Kosha, like the layers of an onion.
“The yogi uses the athleticism of
practicing the Asanas and Pranayama
as a tool to drip into
the serenity of the inner mind.”

Yin Yang Yoga
Focusing on the flow of energy rather than just the muscles, keeps Yang flowing in stillness, and lets Yin move the whole body from one asana to another. Yin supports Yang, and Yang energises Yin like the leaves on a tree create the wind and wind moves the leaves spontaneously, never ending.
Chair Yoga
Is Chair Yoga just for seniors?
Not at all, Chair Yoga is a perfect exercise for those looking to improve posture, flexibility, and balance while avoiding injury. With that interpretation, Chair Yoga is suitable for everyone.
With the yoga breathing technique, Ace uses the chair to reduce the distance of the flow up and down between standing and the floor. Hence, avoiding the impact from weight on the hips and knees, and improving the range of movement by concentrating on one area of muscles each time.
Ace use yoga blocks and cushions to facilitate the posture of his members. His Chair Yoga will include not just a chair, but sometimes a table, wall, and environment around the hall.
This is a fun and not too serious class. Members always finish the class with a small grin at the corner of their lips, and laugh at leaving.
Anusara Yoga
From Tantric Sutras and Hatha Yoga, Anusara Yoga emphasises the Universal Alignment underlying all of the yoga asanas. This could be a sweaty class radically affirming that the highest reality exists both inside and outside of us.
“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”

Yin Yoga & Tibetan Singing Bowls Sound Therapy
There’s no denying that we felt it, whether it is the 80 instruments in a large scale orchestra symphony, or when our body moves to the music on the dance floor with Ed Sheeran’s guitar.
Vipasana Meditation in Buddhist practice uses sensory observing techniques to be present in the moment and connect to the serenity of the inner mind. Either by sitting crossed legged observing the flickering of a candle, or the sound of the breath, or the truth of life and death in the higher level or meditation. Vipasana also uses the sensation of the skin in the movement of the Walking Mediation.
Yin Yoga and Sound Therapy uses the same techniques.
Ace’s Yin Yoga flows like fluid from one asana to another with a Rest and Restore idea. Each movement allows enough time to connect the sensory aspect of the movement. Sam’s Singing Bowls are not just a melody, but work with the breath and heart beat. The whole concept works together in harmony, like trees in the forest, fish in the river. At the end, when the final vibration of singing bowls and the last yoga pose has ended, then you, like a child letting go of the ball in their hand as they relax, are reunited in body and mind.
Yoga Teacher Training Programme
“If there is a wall there is a wall, but if you have the will there is a way”.

Time and money are precious commodities during the difficult period we are currently experiencing.
Several prospective students have asked how flexible they can be with the time and budget for their yoga teacher training.
Ace’s Win-Win solution is his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainee Programme, which comes with more flexibility in time and budgeting.
It can also include recognition of students’ prior learning on relevant previously approved education courses. These could count towards the 200-hours and is open to discussion with Ace.
